Scientists map the Brain's 'Attention Switch' in groundbreaking study
NCT ID NCT06041048
Summary
This study aims to develop better methods for measuring activity in a small brain area called the locus coeruleus, which is thought to control attention. Researchers will use high-resolution brain scans and test a medication (modafinil) to see how it affects this brain area in 40 healthy adults. The goal is to create tools that could eventually help understand attention problems in conditions like ADHD and schizophrenia.
