New brain aneurysm treatment trial seeks better outcomes

NCT ID NCT07372612

Summary

This study aims to find out if a newer procedure using a flow diverter device works better than the standard stent-assisted coiling to treat certain brain aneurysms. Researchers will compare how well each method closes the aneurysm, prevents it from coming back, and improves patients' neurological and thinking abilities. About 140 adults with unruptured aneurysms in a specific brain artery will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two treatments and followed for one year.
