Scientists search for a brainwave 'Fingerprint' to power future mental health tech

NCT ID NCT05592600

Summary

This study aimed to see if a simple, portable EEG headset (which measures brainwaves) can accurately track the same complex brain network activity as an expensive MRI machine. Researchers measured brain activity in 24 healthy adults using both devices while they did attention tasks. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help create more accessible, personalized brain training tools for conditions like depression or ADHD.
