NCT ID NCT05306327

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study watches brain activity in adults who are taken off life support in the ICU. Researchers want to learn exactly when the brain stops working compared to when the heart stops. About 158 patients will take part. The goal is to better understand the process of dying, not to offer a treatment.
