New scale could prevent painful bedsores in tiniest patients

Summary
This study is checking if a new checklist (the Braden QDS scale) can better predict bedsores in newborns in intensive care. About 600 babies under 28 days old and weighing less than 5 kg will be observed. The goal is to see if this tool helps nurses catch pressure injury risks early, especially from medical devices, so they can prevent skin damage.
