New combo attack on tough gynecologic cancers

NCT ID NCT04395079

Summary

This study is testing whether combining a targeted form of internal radiation (brachytherapy) with immunotherapy drugs can help control advanced gynecologic cancers that have stopped responding to standard platinum-based chemotherapy. It aims to see if this two-pronged approach is safe and can slow or stop cancer growth better than current options. The trial is for women with recurrent or spreading ovarian, endometrial, or cervical cancer.
