New exercise combo aims to stop the spins for vertigo sufferers
NCT ID NCT07267988
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a specific set of head and body exercises (Brandt-Daroff) to a standard vertigo treatment (GANS maneuver) works better to reduce dizziness and improve daily life for people with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). Researchers will recruit 30 adults with BPPV and randomly assign them to receive either the standard treatment alone or the standard treatment plus the exercises for six weeks. They will measure changes in dizziness and quality of life to see which approach helps patients more.
