Laxatives before dialysis: simple fix for catheter blockages?

Summary
This study tests whether giving laxatives before inserting a dialysis catheter can prevent blockages. About 398 adults with kidney failure needing peritoneal dialysis will take part. Half will get laxatives before surgery, half will not. The goal is to see if this simple step reduces the need for extra procedures to fix drainage problems.
