First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This trial tests a surgical procedure that uses a strip of the gluteus maximus (buttock) muscle to create a new sphincter for people with severe bowel incontinence. The surgery is for patients who have not gotten better with standard treatments and have a damaged or missing anal sphincter. The study will enroll 10 participants and measure improvement using a standard incontinence score.
