First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests if botulinum toxin injections work as well as traditional surgery for treating childhood esotropia (crossed eyes) of a certain size. About 244 children will be randomly assigned to receive either an injection or surgery. The goal is to see if the less invasive injection can successfully align the eyes, potentially reducing risks and costs.
