First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding mirror therapy to standard botulinum toxin (Botox) injections can better reduce arm stiffness and improve movement in people who had a stroke. Thirty adults with chronic arm spasticity received Botox and then either mirror therapy or a sham treatment. Researchers measured changes in muscle tone and motor function over six months to see if the combination helps more than Botox alone.
