Summary

This study tested whether a single injection of botulinum toxin A (like Botox) into the thumb joint, along with a splint, can reduce pain from base-of-thumb osteoarthritis. Sixty adults with moderate to severe pain took part. The main goal was to see if pain decreased three months after the injection.
