Can botox make biopsy scars fade? new trial investigates

NCT ID NCT05478551

Summary

This study is testing whether an injection of botulinum toxin (like Botox) can help minimize the appearance of scars left after a skin biopsy. Each participant will have two biopsy sites; one will be treated with the toxin and the other with a harmless saltwater solution for comparison. Researchers will measure the scars after six months to see if the botulinum toxin treatment leads to less noticeable scarring.
