NCT ID NCT05430893
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study looked at whether injecting botulinum toxin A (like Botox) into a groin muscle can help athletes with long-lasting groin pain that hasn't gotten better with other treatments. Twenty adults with chronic athletic pubalgia received one injection, and researchers tracked their pain, activity limits, and quality of life over a short time. The goal was to see if this approach could ease pain and help them return to sport.
