Botox shots tested to numb diabetic foot pain

NCT ID NCT05623111

Summary

This study is testing whether injections of a purified form of Botox (incobotulinumtoxin-A) around the nerves in the legs can safely reduce pain for people with diabetic neuropathy. 80 participants with long-term, symmetrical foot pain will receive injections every 12 weeks for 24 weeks, with half getting the real treatment and half getting a placebo. Researchers will measure changes in daily pain, medication use, and quality of life to see if the treatment helps.
