Immunotherapy duo shows promise for tough rectal cancers

Summary
This study tests two immunotherapy drugs, botensilimab and balstilimab, in people with a type of rectal cancer that is harder to treat (called MMRp/MSS). The goal is to see if this combination can shrink or eliminate tumors before standard treatments like chemotherapy. About 40 adults with stage II or III rectal cancer will take part.
