Can a blood vessel drug heal finger sores in scleroderma patients?

NCT ID NCT01395732

First seen Jun 07, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 07, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether bosentan, a drug that helps blood vessels relax, can improve blood flow in the hands of people with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma) who have had finger ulcers. 18 adults with reduced hand blood flow and a history of ulcers took part. The main goal was to see how blood flow relates to ulcer severity, and whether bosentan changes blood flow after 12 weeks.
