Cancer drug repurposed to fight severe brain attack

Summary
This study is testing if a drug called bortezomib, already used for a type of blood cancer, can help people with severe autoimmune encephalitis. In this condition, the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the brain. The trial will see if bortezomib safely reduces these harmful attacks and improves patients' ability to function in their daily lives.
