New hope for yeast infections: boric acid inserts in major trial

Summary
This study tests whether boric acid vaginal inserts (600 mg) taken for 7 or 14 days can safely and effectively treat yeast infections. About 400 women aged 12 and older with active symptoms will participate. The goal is to see if the infection clears completely without needing other antifungal medicine.
