Summary

This trial tests whether a specially shaped dental abutment—called a biologically oriented prepared abutment—can improve the health and appearance of the gum tissue around an implant-supported crown, compared to a conventional shoulder abutment. Twenty adults with a missing tooth in the aesthetic zone will receive either the new abutment or a standard one, along with a porcelain-fused-to-metal crown. Researchers will measure soft and hard tissue thickness, how well the crown fits, the pink aesthetic score, and patient satisfaction.
