New catheter aims to save legs from amputation in dire cases

Summary

This study tests a device called the Boomerang Catheter for people with severe leg artery disease (chronic limb-threatening ischemia) who cannot have standard treatments. The goal is to create a new blood flow path using veins to prevent amputation or death. About 120 adults with advanced disease will be enrolled to see if the procedure is safe and effective.
