New MRI method may cut radiation for bone cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06988007

First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special type of MRI (called pseudo-scanner) can map bone tumors as accurately as CT scans for surgical planning. About 122 people with bone sarcoma who need surgery will take part. If successful, this approach could reduce patients' exposure to radiation from CT scans.
