Telescoping rods aim to strengthen fragile bones in kids

NCT ID NCT05612139

Summary

This study monitored a special telescoping metal rod (called JTIN) that is surgically placed inside the leg bones of children with osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disease). The goal was to collect real-world safety data and see how well the rod helps bones heal and prevents new fractures. Researchers followed 14 children for up to a year after their surgery as part of standard care.
