New transplant method tested for tough blood cancers

NCT ID NCT02623439

Summary

This study tested a modified bone marrow transplant procedure for adults with serious blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma. It aimed to see if using a partially mismatched donor (like a family member) followed by a specific drug (cyclophosphamide) could control the cancer and be safe. The main goal was to measure how many patients were still alive 180 days after the transplant.
