Bone marker study in myeloma patients halted after enrolling only 3 people
NCT ID NCT04111809
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study aimed to track four bone-related substances in the blood and urine of multiple myeloma patients receiving intravenous bisphosphonates, a common bone-strengthening treatment. Researchers planned to follow patients for up to 12 months to see how these markers changed over time. However, the study was terminated early after enrolling only 3 participants, so no meaningful conclusions could be drawn.
