New study pits masquelet against transport nails for mending broken bones

Summary

This study looks at two ways to fix large bone gaps in the leg: the Masquelet technique and electromagnetic transport nails. Researchers will track how long it takes for the bone to heal and how well patients recover function. About 250 adults with bone loss from tumors, infection, or injury will take part.
