Scientists probe why cystic fibrosis weakens teen bones
NCT ID NCT06216704
Summary
This study aims to understand why teenagers with cystic fibrosis (CF) often develop weaker bones. Researchers will compare 36 teens with CF to 36 healthy teens, using knee MRI scans, bone density tests, and blood work over one year. The goal is to see if increased fat in the bone marrow is linked to poorer bone health in CF.
