Dental implant breakthrough: bone shape may predict graft success

NCT ID NCT06999915

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether the amount of bone that regrows after dental implant surgery depends on a person's original bone shape. Researchers will compare two bone-grafting methods in 28 adults: adding bone only up to the natural bone line or adding a bit extra. Over a year, they will track bone stability, gum health, and patient satisfaction using scans and exams.
