New sticky bone technique shows promise for jaw reconstruction
NCT ID NCT07353086
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested a new, less invasive way to widen a narrow lower jaw bone using a special 'sticky bone' graft made from cow bone. Ten patients with thin jawbones received the graft through a small tunnel under the gum. The study checked healing, pain, bone width changes on CT scans, and how well the graft integrated into the bone over 6 months.
