Back surgery bone graft trial halted early
NCT ID NCT05614284
Summary
This study aimed to compare two types of bone graft materials used in spinal fusion surgery for degenerative disc disease. Researchers wanted to see whether a synthetic bone graft called Virtuos worked as well as the patient's own bone (autograft) for helping the spine fuse together. The trial was terminated early after enrolling only 6 participants.
