Summary
This study tested a mixture of the patient's own bone, a bone substitute, an antibiotic, and fresh blood to treat leg fractures that were not healing properly. 25 adults with broken thigh or shin bones that had not healed after initial surgery received this graft. The goal was to see if the mixture helped the bones heal and reduced pain.
