New bone substitute could improve spinal fusion success

Summary
This study tests a new synthetic bone substitute against another material for spinal fusion surgery in adults with degenerative disc disease. About 100 participants will receive one of the two materials during surgery. The goal is to see which leads to better bone fusion and less disability after 12 months.
