New hope for brittle bones in anorexia
NCT ID NCT04779216
Summary
This study tested whether a drug called romosozumab could help improve bone density and strength in women with anorexia nervosa, a condition that often leads to weak, fragile bones. For 12 months, 30 participants received either the drug or a placebo (inactive substance) in a blinded trial. The goal was to see if the drug could increase bone formation and improve bone structure compared to the placebo, with an additional follow-up phase using another bone medication.
