First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether specific body positions after surgery can lower the chance of a chronic subdural hematoma (a type of brain bleed) returning. About 830 adults aged 60 and older who have had surgery for this condition will be randomly assigned to different postures. The goal is to see if adjusting body position safely reduces recurrence and improves recovery.
