Cradle vs. Side-Lie: which feeding position protects Baby's airway?
NCT ID NCT05874102
First seen May 15, 2026 ยท Last updated May 15, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether feeding infants in a side-lying position is safer than the usual cradled, upright position. Researchers will use a special X-ray video to watch how babies swallow in both positions. The goal is to see if side-lying reduces the risk of liquid going into the airway (aspiration). About 40 infants with swallowing problems will take part.
