Rhythm training may boost motor skills and attention in teens with intellectual disability

Summary
This study will test whether 8 weeks of group body percussion training (clapping, tapping, snapping) can improve hand coordination, balance, attention, and daily functioning in 25 adolescents aged 14-18 with mild intellectual disability. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the percussion group or a passive music-listening control group. Results will be measured before and after the program using standard tests for dexterity, balance, rhythm, attention, and disability assessment.
