New study: simple posture training may soothe breastfeeding Moms' aching shoulders and back

Summary

This study tests whether teaching new mothers better posture, breastfeeding positions, and gentle strengthening exercises can reduce shoulder and back pain. About 94 mothers who gave birth vaginally and are currently breastfeeding will be randomly assigned to receive this training or standard care. Researchers will measure pain and breastfeeding ergonomics at the start, 6 weeks, and 3 months after giving birth.
