Pilot study: could your body shape predict rehab success?
NCT ID NCT04204655
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This pilot study looks at how body composition (like muscle and fat) and nutrition affect recovery in people with neurological conditions. Researchers will use a simple test called bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to measure body changes during rehabilitation. The goal is to find better ways to track and improve recovery in the future.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help design better nutrition plans to improve recovery after neurological injury or disease.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study with only 57 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It is designed to gather information, not to test a treatment.
