First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at whether basic body awareness therapy could help earthquake survivors improve their core muscle endurance, posture, balance, quality of life, and body awareness. Thirty survivors aged 18-45 who experienced the February 2023 earthquakes in Turkey took part. Half received the therapy for 8 weeks, while the other half did not. The therapy involved gentle movements and exercises to help people reconnect with their bodies and improve physical function.
