First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether eating wild blueberries every day for several months can improve brain function in older adults. Researchers will measure blood flow and insulin sensitivity in the brain using MRI scans, and test thinking skills with iPad games. The study involves 36 overweight or obese men and women aged 60-75. The goal is to understand how blueberries might protect the brain from age-related decline.
