First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at whether blue light from computer or TV screens makes melasma (a skin condition causing dark patches on the face) worse. Twelve women with melasma had one side of their face exposed to simulated screen blue light for 5 days, while the other side was not exposed. Researchers measured any changes in pigmentation using a standard scale and found no significant worsening from the screen light.
