Blood thinner may fight staph infection in new trial

Summary
This study is testing if switching to a specific blood thinner called dabigatran helps people who have a serious Staph bloodstream infection and already need blood-thinning medication. Researchers will compare dabigatran against other common blood thinners to see if it leads to better recovery with fewer complications. The trial will enroll 300 patients who are already taking blood thinners for conditions like stroke prevention or blood clots.
