Summary

This study aims to find out which of two newer blood thinners, apixaban or rivaroxaban, causes fewer bleeding problems in people with atrial fibrillation (AFib). It will enroll over 3,000 adults newly diagnosed with AFib who need to start a blood thinner to prevent strokes. The goal is to directly compare the safety of these two already-approved medications to help doctors and patients choose the best option.
