New blood test could be a 'Clock' for stroke onset

NCT ID NCT07453277

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple blood test can tell doctors when a stroke began. This is crucial because many patients wake up with stroke symptoms and don't know the start time, which can prevent them from getting time-sensitive treatments. Researchers will measure five different substances in the blood of 80 stroke patients to see if they can accurately tell if the stroke happened within the last 4.5 hours.
