Blood test could spare thousands of women from unnecessary mammograms
NCT ID NCT07049822
Summary
This study is testing if a simple blood test can help improve breast cancer screening. It aims to see if the test can identify women who are very unlikely to have cancer after a suspicious mammogram result. If successful, this could reduce the need for many women to go through further, often unnecessary, follow-up tests like extra mammograms or biopsies.
