Can a simple blood test predict if cancer treatment is working?

NCT ID NCT05487248

Summary

This study aims to learn if tracking cancer DNA in the blood can predict how well standard chemotherapy works for people with advanced colorectal cancer that has stopped responding to prior treatments. It observes 103 patients receiving their doctor's chosen standard therapy, collecting blood samples regularly to see if changes in cancer DNA match up with scan results. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help guide future treatment decisions, but it does not test a new treatment itself.
