Simple blood test could unlock Life-Saving stroke treatment for thousands
NCT ID NCT07453277
Summary
This study is testing a new blood test to help doctors figure out when a stroke began. For many patients, especially those who wake up with symptoms, the exact start time is unknown, which can prevent them from getting time-sensitive treatments. Researchers will analyze blood samples from 80 stroke patients to see if specific markers can accurately tell if the stroke happened within the last 4.5 hours.
