Simple blood test could spot silent killer in ICU

NCT ID NCT07197333

Summary

This study aims to find out if two simple measurements from a routine blood test can help predict dangerous blood clots in the legs of patients on breathing machines in the intensive care unit. Researchers will follow 100 patients to see if higher levels of these markers are linked to developing clots or a higher risk of death. The goal is to find a faster, cheaper way to identify patients at risk so they can be treated sooner.
