Simple blood test may predict which elderly patients face highest risk after hospital stay
NCT ID NCT07435467
Summary
This study aims to see if certain proteins in the blood, related to Alzheimer's disease and brain injury, can help predict which older hospitalized patients are most likely to die or be readmitted to the hospital. Researchers will follow 400 older patients for one year after their hospital stay to test this idea. The goal is to create a tool that helps doctors identify high-risk patients earlier.
