Blood test could tailor cancer treatment before surgery

NCT ID NCT05947838

Summary

This study is testing if a simple blood test can help doctors decide how much chemotherapy a patient needs before surgery for colorectal or appendix cancer. The test looks for tiny pieces of tumor DNA in the blood, which might show if the cancer is at high or low risk of coming back. The goal is to give patients the right amount of treatment—more if needed, less if possible—to better control their cancer.
